A mod chip is not recommended as it will shorten your ps2's life swap magic slide tool is a good way of making them play but i prefer using an american ps2 coz it works just like a british one however you will need a step down transformer to lower the voltage from 240 to 110 and a tv that supports an ntsc signal otherwise you will get a black and white picture thats not too bad if you are playing games like Pong or Asteroids but it is a little annoying when you are playing more up to date games that are in full colour
