What's going to happen in the future? Is your best friend going to continue being your friend? Is it inevitable that sooner or later she is going to find out? If the answer is "yes" to both questions, then simply tell her you have some public experience singing and ask if she would like to come along next time you sing. Tell her you want to share all your life with her because sh is such a good friend. Ask for her advice about some issue that comes up in connection with your singing and when she seems surprised at the question, you act as though you assumed she knew all along about your career. Mostly, trust your love of her and her love of you to carry through any difficulties that may come up. Trust in the universe.

Why would telling her upset her? Why do you keep it a secret? If you are somewhat famous I'm sure she would be proud to be with you yet confused as to why you feel you must keep this a secret. There are absolutely no relationships that can last when there are secrets. Love brings us together. Honesty and communication bonds us. Please do the right thing and tell her as soon as you can. She deserves to know the man she is with. She deserves better than to be kept in the dark about a big part of your life. If you two can not be together because of this then it was never meant to be. My first marriage ended simply because she and I were not open with one another. A secret kept is dangerous. A secret reveal unexpectedly is disastrous. Find a way to tell her. It's the right thing to do.

Why can't you tell your best friend? If you become more than kind of famous, she probably won't want to be your friend anymore since you are keeping something that is such a big part of your life away from her.

I hate to answer a question with a question, but... Why don't you just tell her? A real friend will be happy with your success (and you'll always have someone you trust to watch your back if you ever go out on the road).
Also, when you do tell her, don't 'brag' about it. Have her go with you one night and see for herself.

I ams ure she won't be mad that you hid something from her. Just give her this to think about, how can you find true friends if everyone knows about your status? It's impossible! I am sure she will be elated and happy for you if anything.

Wait until it comes up and then be matter of fact about it. If you're only kind of famous, there's only kind of a chance it'll be kind of an issue.
Okay, Hannah Montana?

Why didn't you tell her already, if she's your best friend?
She won't be upset that you're famous, just that you kept her in the dark

If she is a true friend, this wont upset her. I know that there is NOTHING my true friends could tell me that would upset me, as long as they didnt do something to intentionally hurt me, I would understand. Good luck
