selves from what happened ?,saying they tryed to convince the iraqi government to delay the execution, when they could have stopped it at any time .

i think the man was scum just like any other person, yet what surprisied me is that the guy had quite alot of courage and dignity just before the execution i thought he'd break down or something . so i wonder were the sheites told to taunt him to get an out burst ?. the video footage was odviously done on purpose yet made out to be some lone person, this was all suposed to flare up violence on the streets of Iraq , the islamics seem to have seen through it . as again strange .

The US are great are stirring up sh*t... and whether or not the hanging took place on a US base is really immaterial, they PUSHED long and hard for this trial and execution to come as fast as possible, because they are so stupid that they thought it would help the situation in Iraq... I have more respect for Saddam than Bush, Saddam stood up to what he has done, and faced the consequences, Bush is a coward, and hides behind lies and spin... i'm praying he has a massive coronary... live on TV...

The location was Camp Justice in Kazimain, in the north of Baghdad.

Saddam was passed by the US over to Iraqi authority. They then had full control over Saddam.

He was executed by Iraqi citizens/persons - no US persons or soldiers were physically in the building at the time of the execution.

Please double-check your "facts" mate ;)

You guys are really being dicks. The execution took place at the Iraqi army base Camp Justice in Kazimain, a north-eastern suburb of Baghdad. Camp Justice was previously used by Saddam as his military intelligence headquarters, then known as Camp Banzai, where Iraqi civilians were taken to be tortured and executed on the same gallows. It would be really easily confused with an American military base. Rumors are going around that it took place at an American military base also.

There is always an agenda underlying these types of things. Especially since the Bush Admin came to be.

I heard that George Bush put a picture of himself in Saddam cell just to harrass him. Surely people can see just how much George Bush's ego contributed to this whole mess.

hanged, not hung
seems horrid, but the the views of the guy are polarised in Iraq and one can't help but feel a little empathy for those taunting him.
If it was my son he murdered, I'd have a few choice words

Many Democrats & the News Media are now considering Saddam a kind of hero.

Thousands of Kurdish children died with courage too. When Saddam poisoned gassed them.

It did NOT take place at a US base..so your question is a bit pointless. Saddam was solely in the hands of the Iraqi authorities.

The building was an Iraqi government building.

ADDED;

Ok Emo...Have it your way...Us and the (Islamics???) are all wrong and you are right. Oh...and the BBC, and NBC, and oh well...everyone but you basically!
