no I got one off my uncle and it wont work at all without sky+ subscription unless you ring sky and they then disable all the sky+ priveladges anyway and you cant even set a reminder of enter anything into a personal planner then, so all in all not worth it at all!

If you are meaning, will a Sky+ box work if the Sky+ subscription isn't paid, the answer is yes, it will work like a normal sky box, but you can't record onto the hard drive.

Yes, in my bedroom I have my standard Sky box with the dish aerial to it, I bought a freeview card for £20 off Sky and watch most of the programmes I like.

no it wont because you need two sets of wires put in. not sure why but you do.
we got sky + the other week and the guy was here for about 45 minutes putting in all the new wires needed and stuff!
and when my parents got it put in the fella was there for half an hour aswell changing wires and stuff!

no you need to change your LNB on your dish to at least two outputs so you can record and watch different channels as well as getting a sky + card
