If your 13 year old daughter is mature for her age, i.e., does she know all about people's different sexual preferences and has she had the "talk" with you about sex, love, marriage, etc., then you should know whether she can handle such a movie.
If you have seen it already and think there might be sections of the movie that would have to be explained to her, then I wouldn't let her watch it.
Also, remember how you were at 13 is not how these kids are growing up these days. They are much more aware of stuff than we were at that age.
You'll make the right choice, and even if she ends up watching it, it's not going to ruin her for the rest of her life. Personally speaking, I don't know if anyone that age would totally understand the depth and meaning of the story, but if it's going to cause a problem by not allowing her to watch, then I would say go for it!

Of course not... she shouldn't see anything so suggestive as that until she is at least 16. Her having ADHD has nothing to do with it. I think it's imporatant that kids learn that homosexiality exists and that it's afterall still about relationships between people. perhaps there won't be so many haters in the next generation. But wait till shes a bit older.

Not recommended, but since you are shacking up with someone who is not a relative of your children, then what does it matter? You may be unwise to bring an unrelated adult male around your impressionable 13 y/o pubescent daughter. Too many poor choices are already on the table when it comes to your family nest. Adding this movie will not make much difference, since so many other things are out of alignment. Sorry.

If she has ADHD then your daughter is probobly to inmature for the film.I let my little sister watch it with me and she is only 11 but my mom said that at her age it is time for her to start learning about different styles of living.

NO! I am 30 and this movie was traumatizing for me! It shows two men kissing and roughly having sex. I am not against gay love but even if it had been a man and woman I would not allow my child to watch this movie. Their first sexual encounter was violent and their sexual relationships with their wives was sometimes gracphic and violent too. Trust me. A 13 year old would not fully appreciate the love story of this movie. Make her wait until she is 18.

If it's not rated PG-13 then the movie is not suitable for her! She should be supervised if you let her watch it since there are some sexual contents. But in my opinion, I don't think a 13 year old could handle watching it.

I don't think it is appropriate. The gay aspect doesn't bother me so much, but I just think that kind of sexuality is any movie is too much for a 13 year old.

Absolutely not. I let my 13 year old daughter see it and she was wacko for like a month.

NO - Check out the warning on the side of the box. this movie is too violent. It's not the gay sex that should be the issue.
