Yes, it is a fact of life these days. The days of someone retiring from a company that they worked for all their life is over. Sometimes it is due to a lay-off, other times it is a choice. There are new careers being created, and at the same time, others are ending.

Yes, my husband changed after a 10 yr. dead end job and he loves it and has never been happier at a job. It takes sacrifice, like no medical for 6 months and no vacation for 6 months, but the sacrifices are worth it.
