I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and yes it is normal. You dont say how old you are. If you are between 35 and 45 you may have started the menopause. Or it may just be that because you have been so long on the pill your hormones have not been told you have come off and it may be a while before they function on their own but I would have smear test if i you.

ask your doc,it may need a hormone to give it a quick kick to start it up again,

i came off the pill after 15 years and ten years later my body from day one worked as if i was on the pill, nice and regular but i remember one time after losing a baby i got no period for 5 months and the doc gave me a pill to take for 4 days, once i stopped the pill within 2 days all back to normal

It depends how old you are. You could be in, near or past the menopause. This can start as early as 45 years and in some cases, very rare though, at the age of 35 and 40. Have a medical check and set your mind at rest. Best of luck.
