My idea is to study and read every night (school nights). Then I will practice the guitar and stay away from music and whatever until the weekend. Give me any other tips of what will keep me focused on school. Later.

It depends on your learning style. Reading over your notes wont do much good studying if you're an auditory or kinesthetic learner. Pay attention in class, take notes, review them and do your homework. Take breaks though. Every hour, take at least a 15 min break to relax.
