I know they say to walk up to people and
"warm chat".. but i think that is so pushy for people to do it to me so I'm not going to aggravate anyone! What I need is ideas how
to market this makeup so people will come
to me for makeup.. ANY ideas are appreciated!!
Exspecially mary kay ladies!!..tell me what worked for you..!

I had the same problem when I started my business (not Mary Kay). I just needed the customers. You get some cheap business cards made ($30) and leave a few at different locations - it works! Next you leave some (or flyers) in apartment building lobbies. I then signed up with Google Ads (free) I got a $50 credit. I designed a small add for search results - in your case it would be for cosmetics. People click and buy. Apartment buildings are the best bet! I never bought Avon. A lady left me a catalogue. For 3 years now, I have bought an average order of maybe $700. Cold calls are bad. Let the people contact you and then suck them in. If you try to talk to people - they know you are selling something.

Hello, I am a Senior Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. Your story sounds almost like mine about 4 years ago! :) I was 20 and had my son, was working full time and taking college classes when I started selling Mary Kay. You really can make money while selling MK. I tried Avon before MK and just wasn't successful at it. I would love to share some more info with you if you are interested. If so, you can message.

Advertise wherever you can get permission and look online for help (good idea coming to Yahoo Answers!). Leave flyers with your name and number in coffee shops, supermarkets, community message boards, day care centers, hospitals, schools, offices, wherever you feel it's okay or you can get permission. But don't go around hanging up flyers in random places - people will get upset. Also get signs for your yard and car. Ask your friends and family to spread word that you sell it. Wear your products and when someone compliments your lipstick/eyeshadow/whatever say thanks and mention that it's a Mary Kay product you sell. Best of luck to you!

gosh mary kay is kinda hard to sell.. Avon is alot easier and cheeper... But get a website and put a sign thing on your car. w/ your phone #. use a cell...
Sell at work, put a sample basket at work w/ books and your cards. make them online cheap. (ask ur boss)
put a sign in front yard and keep books, w/ cards in a bag on the sign, so people can stop and pick up.
put books in local beauty shops, nail salons, good luck

Try having a lil get together and have your family bring their friend's over. You can even make it a potluck. You will have fun and make money.
