I'm wondering what labels I should be using to describe myself.
I like girls, and have only slept with girls, but I do have a little interest in guys. It hasn't come up to try anything out.
I like to wear skirts, but not in any way to look feminine, and certainly not anything remotely short. I wear dark colors, and I'd never be caught dead in anything with a flamboyant pattern.
I've got long hair.

Outside, I am male, and I fully plan to keep my male parts.
Inside, I feel I am a mix of boy and girl, and it's not a constant mix, it fluctuates day to day. It's always a mostly boy mixture.

What are my labels, and where do I fit in? How would you treat me on the street? At work? In a group?
Who should I associate with? How do I go ahead and just enjoy myself as I am?

What am I?!

By dark colors, I mean that I currently wear all black.

Throw the label gun away, or you may shoot your eye out.
You like girls, GREAT !
You might like guys, GREAT !
Skirts are cool ! I know many women who wear them and have no problem with it. There are also a great deal of men who wear them too, without incident.

Inside, you feel like a mix. This is the best part. It is your inner self, that is both male and female. You are finding this true. Many people spend their whole lifetimes rejecting their inner selves. Especially, men...... at least traditionally. Women totally love finding their inner boy/man cause it gives them great power. Men should do the same because in finding and embracing their inner girl/woman, they too, will find great power.

Carl Jung described it as the Anima/Animus.
The Star of David is a depiction of it.
Ying/Yang is a symbol of it.
And the list goes on. It is ancient in wisdom.

Best of Everything to you.

I believe the label is "transsexual". But its not like that matters anyways. Just because you find yourself to have little interest in men does not mean that you are by any means "gay". I have some interest in women, I am curious, and I think that one day I will try it, but that does not make me a lesbian.

You asked how I would treat you on the street, work, or in a group. I would treat you in the same way I treat any other human being, with respect. Just because you have different interests than I do does not make you any less of a person. If I want to be treated equally, baring my quirks, then I must ethically treat you the same! Although, most people do not have this view. Most people are scared of someone who is "different" than themselves. Most people do not understand that everyone has their own interests and quirks.

No matter how a person treats you, just remember, it is not you that they hate, it is truly themselves. People are scared, they don't know how to properly act, and they feel that if they treat someone with a "different" interest with respect, then they will be seen by their friends to be like you, and that is just an ignorant thing.

Be yourself. Love yourself! Just remember that nobody else matters, besides you being happy.

You don't ever need a label for yourself. Never let anyone label you either, who cares what society thinks or what classification you should belong too. You fit in wherever you feel comofortable, and if you find someone you love whether its male or female, doesn't matter if you think you're gay bi straight transgender, whatever you want to be, you can be it. Don't be held back by what you think society wants you to do. Just love yourself and enjoy every minute of who you are.

I would treat you like a normal personal be it on the street or at work or at a party. You have a heart and soul and feelings just like every other human being out there. Don't let yourself be judged by others and if they do judge you just pick yourself up, with your head held high and move along. You have to try new things and talk to new people to find out who you are, explore yourself and your life and don't stop untill you are truley happy.

Unique. I don't know what to label you, you don't even know what to label yourself. You fit in where you want to belong. As long as your friends or family or both accept you, you have family. As for on the streets, if you walk around wearing a skirt, I am not going to lie, I would take a second glance, but personally I wouldn't think badly of you or give you nasty looks or a hard time. Just be who you are. People have no right to judge. Even if the reason is a little more unusual that it generally is.

Forget about labels. On the street or at work you should be treated as a human being as we all should be. As for your inner turmoil, go to a good doctor and lay in on the line. Only a good Psychiatrist or Psychologist is qualified to help you sort this out. Good Luck!

I would call you bi-curious and genderqueer myself. However it is not my place to label you. I think you need to do some reading and living and come up with a labell that fits you.

In the end, will having your "label" make your life better? I'm guessing not. Just be YOU. This world has enough labels already.

God bless you! How refreshingly honest and vulnerable to put yourself out here like this!! They say labels are bad and to not worry about them... I can see where maybe you want a label to help you describe yourself... Sounds like you are a little "Goth". I'm impressed with how in touch with yourself you are with out fear of how other people might judge you. Who are you? You are a person scaling the mountain of self like the rest of us!

I'm adding this because I tried to respond to the email you sent me but your email wasn't "confirmed" or something like that... email me @ gregoryagogo@yahoo.com

DO NOT LABEL YOURSELF.

ugh. it's one of my pet-peeves. Why would someone go through trouble to label themselves? To me, it just gets people hated on because there different than other people. just be yourself.
