Im a high school senior set to graduate in May and I am enrolled in Shawnee State University for this upcoming 2007-2008 year. I would like to study abroad next year (i dont think i can this year). I know some people in a small town overseas and there is a college in this town is there anyway I could transfer to this college for a year and then come back or will I have to go through some program where I cant pick where I want to go?

You will need to talk to your college counselor and see if there is the option of transferring the credits you will earn overseas. If that is not possible, contact the study abroad office at your university and see if there is a suitable program for you. You could also just choose to enroll in the college overseas and take some courses while taking a leave of absence at Shawnee State. Talk to your college counselor and consider all your options before making a decision.

Contact the Washington embassy of the country you want to study and ask them. However, you sound like you don't know what you wan to do. So, when you make up your mind, contact them and ask them.
