Have you got a SAD light? You can buy them and they're supposed to help

Seasonal Affective Disorder is pretty common I think and it can make people pretty miserable. One of the most common treatments is with a light box or sun box which is a table top light that you can sit in front of for 10-20 minutes a day. These lights are different than regular lights in that they closely imitate sunlight and can help alleviate some of the depression associated with SAD.

Another goo thing to do is to get outside as much as possible. Even if it's a cloudy day the uplifting effect of being outdoors can be really beneficial.

Some other good things to try are uplifting music, exercise, a healthy diet and drinking plenty of water. I wish you all the best and if things get really bad it may not help to get some advice from your doctor or a therapist.

Get a light box. It makes your body and brain think that it is nice and sunny. Then you must get out more where there is real light. On Thursday morning the 4th Jan the forecast is sunny so open the curtains and let it in. Listen to the radio nice and loud and sing along. You will feel so much better. Best of luck.

Get a light box to get that bit of lift then try to get outside. Even if it's for just a walk around the block.

Also you could try St John's Wort for a while but check out the side effects first especially if you take any other medication. They will lift your moods.

Hope everything works out for you

First, get over yourself. Second, don't be such a wuss. Go outside and do something. The best cure for "depression" is not laying around being sad. And avoid anyone who plays into your drama and tells you how sad you should be. And most of all ANTIDEPRESSENT DRUGS ARE A PLACEBO!!!

Spend more time in the sun. If you can't get out into sunlight, then get a sun lamp.
