I'm can't give you a good example of a monster that *steals* faces--hopefully someone else can. The best I can come up with are shape-shifters that can take the shape of another person. In Greek mythology the god Proteus was able to do that (but not for long--he would keep morphing, which is where we get the word "protean" for "changeable"). In the Arthurian legends, a lot of the magic users would disguise themselves as someone's lover in order to sleep with someone (like, Morgause shape shifts into Guinevere to sleep with Arthur; Elaine shape shifts into Guinevere to sleep with Lancelot; Uther Pendragon shape shifts into the Duke of Cornwall to sleep with Ygraine, the Duchess of Cornwall).

You've been watching to many movies like " Face Off " Maybe it's not a myth but a prediction cuz they just transplanted a face in France.
