Dimi...What type of dying for true love are you speaking of? I noticed there wasn't anyone who asked that question. They just made assumptions. Please give me time to explain and perhaps I can help.

I feel this way...I'm 57 years old, I majored in law enforcement, but I'm penniless because I cannot find a job doing anything...anywhere. There are many times I just thought about throwing in the towel and doing away with myself as I felt useless. Even though I should feel confident because I am intelligent, I don't. No job, no money and stuck in an 8 X 10 ft. room, under the same roof with a man I divorced 13 years ago. He doesn't bathe and I must endure. I truly hate this life. I've tried many ways to generate income, but they all have seemed to fail. I feel as though I'm in a hopeless situation and I've already had as much as I can tolorate. BUT...there is hope around every corner...for everyone, including myself. There is love of God, love of family and a one true love (which I have never found).

We all have a rough go from time to time. I've been in this situation for 4 years now and nothing has changed except for my degrees. I haven't experienced that kind of love, to feel oneself to die for. Yet, you're feelings are as real as mine and I do understand you. I'm the type of person that if I should see anyone in danger, I would take the first blow. If a child, one I may not even know, is crossing the street I would be the first to run out and get him/her out of harms way. The same with anyone out there in danger. That's what I'm about. If a person is in trouble or in danger...I'll be the first in line to fight for them. Willing to die for another is nobel, but not pratical. I don't know the situation, but...even in my lonely existance, I have the love of my children and grandchildren and that's what keeps me sane... and alive.

I don't know if this made sense to you or helped in any way, but we are all here for support. God's speed.

you have to question what is love?
Biologically speaking, love is selfish, you love other people because they take care of you and makes you feel protected or. .

you love other people and want to care for them in hope that they will love you back, but eventually it all comes back to loving yourself.
It's about survival, this is normal love.

True love is when you love someone without asking for anything in return, which is rare, a faresight admiration, which is extremely rare and appears strange. So if that's what you believe is the relationship you have with someone one, then yes, you should die.

True love does not exist. Love is a feeling that you make. You may feel affection at first that then becomes an obsession and afterwards a routine that many people stay in it until they die.

I believe so.

example:
If my children or husband were in danger and the only way to save them was to die. I would without a doubt put my life on the line for love.

No...but if one has courage, and strength, and is deserving of the air he uses each day...he should be willing to LIVE for true love.

Dying for love is equivalent to killing for architecture! Death and Love are mutually exclusive. Love lives, true love lives beyond the Gate, and Death has no dominion over it.

Dying is for sissies, for quitters. Living is for the brave.

No greater love than this: he that would lay down his life for a friend....

True love is worth it. But don't hurt or kill yourself trying to prove a point.

Why die for something that does not exist? Its all a bunch of hormones, subconscious directions and other nonsense. Dont die for that!

Not for the love of a woman, certainly. To lay down one's life for one's country, or for the love of God for good, that is different.
