the 1st one in black. I'm a thirteen year old girl and i also skate board and i have guy friends who skate board so i kinda know what things they ware, the second one i saw other girls ware. well good luck!

Personally I don't care for either one of them. Have you tried looking at Hottopic.com ? I think Hot Topic would be a better place to look for a gift for your friend. My 2 older sons aged 17 and 13 have never not liked any of their gifts from hot topic. They love the store.

I think the second one, black/blue looks better especially since it doesn't look as dull. If you're friend is more concerned about comfort than looks I suggest the first one, black-colored (the only color choice).
