Closing *all* ports on your computer is something you really, really, REALLY don't want to do! Some ports have to be left open for the correct functioning of your computer. For instance, if you close port 80, you won't be able to browse the Web, if you close port 25 you won't be able to send e-mail and so on.
What you have to do is *manage* your ports. That is, intelligently decide which ones should be left open and for which programs. As others have suggested, a firewall can greatly help you with this task. But don't expect it to be an "install and forget" thingy. You have to understand how it works and why; you have to decide intelligently what to let it block and what to enable.
Yes, proper computer security administration is a serious task. If you cannot afford to pay somebody to do it for you, you'll have to learn how to do it yourself; you can't just buy a magic bullet. And if you don't, you *will* be hit by malware.
BTW, the keylogger hasn't entered your computer through ports that you could have closed - it has entered because you have executed some external program by double-clicking on something you shouldn't have. The keylogger might be using open ports only to communicate captured keystrokes out of your computer. A firewall could detect/prevent that - but since the keylogger is already running, nothing can prevent it from disabling any firewalls it finds on your computer.
Oh, and since you're using WiFi, make sure you secure it. It's not related to your keylogger problem, but if you don't, other people can steal your bandwidth. To secure a WiFi network, make sure that you configure it not to broadcast its SSID, to use WPA (not WEP!) encryption, and to use MAC address filtering. All this is usually done at your WiFi router; check its documentation for details bout how to do it.

This depends on which firewall you are using. If you are using the Windows XP firewall, you can do this:
Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Network Connections > On the right side, under Network Tasks you should see Change Windows Firewall settings, click on that > Go to the Exceptions tab. Uncheck everything in the Programs and Services list > Click OK.
You have just closed all the ports on your computer. Now, neither you, nor any other computer program may access the internet unless they have some kind of backdoor (which I doubt).
Once you have done this, your internet will no longer work.

changing your ip is a good bet call your isp and request it. get zone alarm which is a powerful fire wall. once it is up and running shut off windows fire wall. also get ad aware and spy bot search and destroy, in spy bot run the process resident thing i think it is a button called immunize allot of key loggers use port 80 and shutting that off is a bad idea, because that is the port that you browse the net on while your running all your anti virus stuff anti spy ware etcetera disconnect from the net. until you know you are safe also keep a close watch on start up programs and running processes if there is something fishy it may be the key logger trying to initiate end process on it and if you can browse to it and manually delete it.

Only way to close all ports is unplug the network cable as mentioned.
A firewall would be advised, particularly if you are connected directly to the internet as it sounds you are.
After you have done some securing you can check here:

to see what ports may be open.

The best and most surefire way to keep them out is to turn your cable/dsl modem (or pc itself off) when your not using it.
Nothing else can keep hackers out completely, or there wouldn't be a booming antivirus and firewall security business with constant updates.
