the building i rent is being sold and i was not notifed, what can i do if my contract is up and my rent is due

If your contract is up then you are now on a month to month lease. If you need the protection of a lease you need to contact the new owner or manager. Call your old landlord and ask him what agreement was made between them in regard to the exsisting tenants of the building and who you should now pay your rent to.

Just keep paying rent as usual.

If it hasn't closed yet, you still have the same landlord right now. Pay it to the same person you've been paying.
