She was married w/two kids and the man was married but no kids. They seem to have more in common than the previous spouses. They are still together after 9 years, but both still feel guilty. If they got married, biblically would they be forgiven? Or should they just break up? They woman would stay single because she does not want to go back to the husband. The man would be willing to go back to the wife, but would do so only for moral reasons. He said he would not be happy. What is the solution?

You need to have a deep conversation with your Husband about all these questions. Ask him why and what was going through his head during his affair. The more explanatory he is with you the easier it will be for you to see what he was thinking; even though it's not right or may not solve anything. You need a peace of mind. Just remember; he's broken your trust once behind your back and promised to not do that when he said his vows. Who knows if he has done it since or will do it again. I think that would be my biggest concern. So many questions and so many things to think about....*sigh*

I say follow your heart, you cant make something work when your heart is not in it,as for the God part ,it would depend on the spouses if they were the wrong doers-did they do everything they could to stay together and make it work? did they just quit and give up ?..... there are many things that can play in this situation-point is you can always ask for forgiveness ,if you are truly sorry in your heart and soul!!

Jeez. There is no solution. People who ruin their marriages for affairs deserve the mess they find themselves in.
Why would people who cheat on their spouses care what the bible says about their new marriage?
