A metre is a fundamental unit of measure. If you mean to have the equivalent in the old imperial system, then it helps to know that the inch is defined as being exactly 2.54 cm (or 0.0245 m).
So, one metre will be 39.37007874 inches, or 3 feet, 3.37 in.

It's a meter. We use the same measurement, with that spelling.
