If you have kids Meganisi is great!!! Luy around all day eat-drink and sleep by 12.

Nydri has a lot of night life.

My favorite is all the west side of the Island Ag. Nikitas, Kathisma, Porto katsiki.

If you want to really explore the island rent a car and drive around the island visit also Vassiliki (too British) and Syvota Bay.

Again if you have kids Meganissi is great and there is a boat (i think) that you can go to Nydri for the night and you can rent a car for one day to cruise around the island.

If you dont have kids I recomend Agios Nikitas (a bit exoensive) a nice village with a mild night life and from there you can go by boat to all the nice beaches on the west.

I went there quite a bit around 10 years ago, so its probably changed a bit since then.

I can remember we used to go to Spartochori quite a lot just to get away from the crowds and the traffic in Nidri on Lefkada. I understand that Lefkada has got much busier since we were there, but I hope this has not got so bad on Meganissi as I remember it being a quiet laid-back kind of place.

I have attached some links which may help you.

If you are seeking tremendous night life, drop the idea of Meganissi.
It is a very beautiful island, with nice beaches, good quality food and wonderful accommodation, but has a rather mild night life.
I'm sure that if you google the word, you will find much information.
Beginning May is a wonderful period to go, you will enjoy yourself very much.

Good luck!
