Do they make an incision on your tummy? Im planning on a natural birth, ive never had a c-section, and just want to know some general information on what to expect. Thanks so much :)!!!!

The laproscopic tubal is quick and done through the belly-button, so no visible scar. Other than discomfort from the anesthesia (gas pains) I only felt a little sore. They can cut, burn or ring your tubes, but remember its permanent. Good luck to you and the new baby.

I had it done last year. They make a little incision near your belly button and go in through there. I have to admit that it was a little sore the first few days. Make sure you wear comfortable clothing (PJ's, sweats), and plan on taking your pain medicine. Try to make sure that someone is there to help you with your children and new baby for a few days if possible. I would say since you've given birth before, this should be quite easy for you!! Good luck to you.

My mom had this done! They make 3 very tiny incisions, and go in with tiny lights and camera. Laproscopy. Very minimal scarring. I had that procedure done for an ovarian cyst removal. I had no problems, but my mom was achy for a few weeks ( they fill your tummy with CO2 so that things are easier to see. Your tummy will hurt for a few days because of the deep incisions. You don't get sutures, just these little bandages. They fall off when they need to. I was running around in about two weeks.

I had my tubes tied after our fourth child. They go through your belly button. The recovery is easy especially after giving birth. I never had a c-section either and you can't even see the incision. Good luck!

I had my tubes tied and they went in through a little incision in my belly button. It only took a few days to actually heal since I had it done immediately after delivering my son naturally. You will be sore and they recommend putting neosporin ointment on it but it shouldn't be too uncomfortable. Also don't wear clothing that is too constrictive for a few days. I wore sweat pants since it was also the most comfortable after having my son. Best of luck to you!

it is a small incision by your belly button. it leaves a very very tiny scar...i was in pretty bad pain the first and second day..but the pain killers helped..i was up and about about the 4 days..and pretty much back to almost my self in about a week and a half..it was hard becuz i too had little ones to chase after and care for the newborn..but as long as u get a helping hand recovery will be no problem at all and shouldnt take long

I had my tubes tied immediatly after my son was born(my 3 child) I had alot of bloating.. but i had given birth too soooo...It wasnt that painful.. but I "feel" my tubes some times.. like a twitch in them.esp around the monthly time.I had a bad infection in my belly button a couple days later too.Thats where they went in to do the surgery. My dr said it was a complex infection and probably came from the hospital. But other that that its easy a little achey thats it.

don't have a c section just to have your tubes tied. Having that executed does not require surgical operation anymore. They make a small hollow on your abdomen button and do it arthroscopicly. talk it over jointly with your physician . yet maximum cases they are able to do it after transport. stable success

I had mines tied and it was through my belly button recovery was 7 days a little soreness . No lifting or a lot of walking within those days. you need to sign the paper work now because they wont do it close to your due date.

A tubal Ligation is not such a big deal especially following a vaginal delivery. I had one and can only recall a very short recuperative period of time and maybe 1 very small incision. Good Luck...........
