Vaginal dryness after having a baby how long should it last?
The doctor told me it would last a while but I thought that I would have no problems so I really did not go into detail with her...but this is getting crazy...how long does this normally last? My baby is 2 months old and I am not breastfeeding

Hello there - there are so many hormonal changes that occur in your body during pregnancy and after delivery and it can take a while for things to get back to normal. Do you have any sex drive? After I had each of my babies it took me ages to get back into relaxing enough to really enjoy intercourse again. When you are tired and the baby is nearby it is hard to concentrate. Also I found that being a mother made me feel different about everything, including sex. If you are not feeling excited by the prospect of intercourse you will be having the dryness problems. Give yourself time and just use a lubricant until you get your mojo back. best of luck.

It all depends on your body---you can use ky jellies to help with the dryness. You need to talk to your doctor since she knows you better than anybody on here....

It depends on your hormones, what birth control you are using, how tired you are, if you are drinking enough water... lots of things.

Just get a bottle of lubricant (my dr reccomended astroglide) and don't worry about it.

PS. How do you find TIME for that with a 2 month old? Wish I could...

Get used to it, it can last a long time. But the lubricants can be very fun, so it's not a total loss!
