The best player in the NFL, hands down, is Ladanian Tomilinson. But the chargers have a complete team. Arguably one of the top defenses in the league and a great young QB in Phillip Rivers. The Chargers wouldn't be 14-2 without LT but they would still be a very solid team. The MVP is Drew Brees. No one player has done more for an offense, team, city, and state then #9 for the Saints. He has gone from injured QB looking for a job to Messiah for the Saints. The saints are the best feel-good story of the year and Drew Brees has made it so. He turned a 7th round pick in Marques Colston into a Rookie of the Year candidate and helped Reggie Bush come along. With great stats and a winning record with a Rookie head coach, no one in the league has been more valuable to his team then Drew Brees.

Here's the deal. You are right to stress Most VALUABLE Player but too bad the NFL forgets that. You need to remember that SD has a solid DF, an above avg. QB and not too mention a solid backup RB in Michael Turner who will probably start somewhere else next year. With that said. They would probably be a playoff contender without LT.

NO, however, they would be lost in the dust without Brees. Yeah they have Duece(getting old) and Bush(Rookie) but heck, they are making their money on the pass right now and their D is not that great. Without Brees putting up the points the Saints would be mired in another bad losing season.

Brees... for sure the most VALUABLE!

LT of course.

He lead the Chargers to the best record in the NFL, broke a TD record and he's still one of the better role model the NFL could pick as a example on how players should be (he hasn't even been arrested yet! :) ).

I think it would be ladanian tomlinson because Shaun Alexander got the most touchdowns in a season and was mvp so i think LT will win

Iono thts kinda of a hard decision! i think its between LT and Brees. i mean brees has carried the saints with 4,000+ passing yards but LT is the chargers offense in my opinion (no offense to Rivers). I will say it will end up bein LT

Yeah, LT will get it. I think that Drew Brees and Devin Hester deserve an honorable mention.

LT Case Closed!!!

Considering he shattered the touchdown record. LT hands down.

LT set a record for touchdowns, and he lead his team to a franchise record for wins (14).
