The first step to being successful is to find out what is the purpose of your life.
Is it to accumulate "stuff" or is it to acquire moral values and put them to the service of mankind, for example.

The first step is probably to have a clear definition of what you personally view as "successful." Is it money, love, power? After that, my opinion is that the next step would be knowledge. Just my opinion.

Eliminating internal limitations that are not based on morality. No man or woman should refrain from doing something for fear of appearing foolish. This is just one example of a non moral self imposed limitation.

The mental aspect of it. It's 90% of the journey actually, if your mentality is proper, you'll be able to do most anything. Visualizing oneself succeeding, and feeling the feelings of having already succeeded while doing such. Believing and practicing that will help the positive aspect as one actually prepares to do what they've set themselves to do.

Confidence. If you know what you can provide and sure of what you know you will always be successful. Personal confidence is the answer to many things and problems. If you have it, you can achieve many things.
