It's an absolute blast and I recommend it highly.
Each restatraunt, hotel, and bar will have it's own party - almost all are by reservation only, and you'll want to pick one close to (or in) the place that you're staying because the busses shut down early on NYE and the cabs become impossible to get (due to the imcreased demand).

December is one of the BEST months to go to Cancun....not too hot....not too cold.....decorated for Christmas!!! I love December in Cancun. New Years is hopping in Cancun......everything going on. It is not usually extremely busy and weather is GREAT!!!

Its a great time to go. The rainy season is June to October and even then it's just afternoon storms.
Average high in December 82, average low 68.

me.. I am a Mexican whom has been to Cancun and trust me... if you go to Cancun in December , you won't even know its December if you are a girl you would be wearing backless shirts and guys- no shirt !!!! of how hot it gets down here but if you come... and i maybe see you i'll say hi!!! =0)

I think it would be a good time-We went in Feb. The crowds were light and the weather was awesome-
I plan on going again around the same time.
