i am a sick bastard for wondering about this.

Yes. It's called "meconium," and is common in pregnancies where labor doesn't start until a bit late in the term. The meconium floats around in the amniotic fluid, and is passed by the mother when her "water breaks." It can be dangerous, as it can cause illness in both the mother and the infant. If a pregnancy is later and an ultrasound reveals the fetus has passed meconium, the doctor will usually induce labor or consider a c-section to deliver the fetus quickly.

Note: the "first poo" isn't any more "poisonous" than any other poo -- the problem is that the meconium can be inhaled by the baby (feces in your lungs is never a good idea), or get into open cuts in the mother's reproductive tract (also not a good idea), causing infections and illnesses. There's nothing "poison" about meconium.

Babies dont poop in the womb only after birth. Some babies will poop during delivery and its not good because they can get ill quickly if they inhale it. Once born, they pass meconium which is like a poop but running and almost black.

-You arent a sick bastard for wondering that.

LMAO...no babys don't poop in the womb and no its not sick. They don't poop until they are born. They do pee though. It goes out into the amniotic fluid and they actually drink it. So we've all drank pee before. LMAO...but its not like regular pee is all clean. My mom didn't believe me I had ead it in a magazine. So at my 20 week ultrasound I asked my dr he laughed and told her yes babies drink thier pee.

well if you watch the baby channel lol like TLC's Birth Day, they tell you that when your water breaks, and its not clear that it can mean the baby had its first bowl movement in your womb, which by the way isnt a good thing. Sometimes this can be ingested by the baby when it takes its first breath and cause breathing problems by going into the lungs. Not a good thing....

No they don't. They don't have their first bowel movement until after birth unless they are in distress and then they have it in there and they can get VERY sick from it. You are not a sick bastard. How do you think anyone knows the answers??? They had to question it too.

Generally not. A babies first poo is poisionous and occasionally when the mum has been in labour a long time the baby can poo. The Drs need to get the baby out pretty quick when this happens and if they cant get the baby out naturally, a C Section is carried out.

No, they shouldn't if they are healthy. They do drink and urinate amniotic fluid, though. A baby in distress will pass "meconium" while in utero on occasion, and sometimes during labor.
There's nothing "sick" about this question, so don't worry.

No you aren't. I'm sure you aren't the first person to "wonder" about this. But no they don't. But sometimes if babies are "overdue" they pass meconium. Which is a bowel movement.

yes, they do. generally, it's right before they are born. This happened to my daughter before i gave birth to her and she swallowed some of it (called meconium). She was sick as a result and had to stay in the hospital for a couple of days longer than she should have.
