my names Anna. I actually like it more than i used to. Even though sometimes i think it's boring, i think it's a really pretty, versatile, and doesn't fit a stereotype (like Claire's a fat girls name, or something like that). it's kinda cool that its the same forwards and backwards too. you could look at this as a drawback or not, but i get called anna banana often. not a big deal, you meet more ppl and have a nickname right off the bat.

Anna Lee -- she played one of the nuns on the Sound of Music AND Mrs. Quartermain on General Hospital. Beautiful actress.

My former roommate from the west coast. Her family is Polish and her name is Ania, but she usually goes by the North Americanized version of Anna. I think it is a classic, beautiful name.

Anna Nicole Smith.

Also, I think of a common name that is WAY overused.

please don't be offended.... but in all honesty, I immediately think of Anna Nicole Smith......and then I shudder with repulsion.
However... Before I had ever heard of that ding-dong lady, I would most-likely say it generally reminded me of a ballerina. It is very femminine and old fashioned and very pretty.
Thanks Anna Nicole Smith for ruining a pretty, girly, ballerina-like name for me!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P Lol!
