No, all of these socket sizes are different. Here are a few others.

A socket A cpu is AMDs old processors... Athlon, Duron etc... these go on a Socket 462 motherboards

Socket 939 is for the new AMD64 processors they are not interchangeable even though the sockets look the same they are different.

Socket A is an older AMD socket and usually has a slot type processor. Socket 939 is the second newest socket from AMD, which has normal pin-type processors. They each have their own motherboards and the processors are not interchangeable in any way. If you're looking to build a new computer, look to socket AM2.

A socket A CPU needs to go into a motherboard with a socket A socket.

A socket 939 CPU needs to go into a motherboard with a socket 939 socket.
