No, but they just released on with 18 of thier greatest hits and some new stuff on it. It's called U218 Singles. It's got the best from Joshua Tree (my personal favorite), War, and All That You Can't Leave Behind, and some others, too.
The one they did with Green Day called "The Saints are Coming" is really cool. The song "Window in the Skies" (which was recorded at Abbey Road studios) is also on this album. I higly reccomend it.

On September 12, it was reported on the official U2 website that the band was working on a new album in Abbey Road Studios.But Window in the Skies is one of two new songs featured on their 2006 compilation album, U218 Singles.

they are currently in the studio, and hope to release the album (produced by Rick Rubin) by fall of 2007, yes.
bono has stated many times in public interviews that the musical direction of this album will be a little different than the previous two. yay! =)

and according to some music magazine i read, its gonna be a 'experimental' album, they are taking huge risk. It might be a hip-hop mixed with country album.
