I totally respect a person that is a homemaker. I believe that they are helping their children to be well balanced individuals. I also know that it takes a lot of patience and creativity to teach your kids from home.

Sure do! It is a lot of work, and if anyone thinks otherwise, they should try it. A study done by www.salary.com estimated the value of a housewife's actual work to be $134,121, based on what a person would make doing all the tasks a housewife does in a professional setting.

I admire a working mom who has to attempt to do a housewife's chores, mom-work, AND professional work... but that does not mean that a housewife does not work hard. Like with any other job, some people are better than others, but the ones that do well deserve a medal.

Or maybe $134,121 in salary! :-P

Absolutely. As they say, "Kids are the future". Haven't you ever had a young boy hold the door open for you and think, "Wow, what great manners!". If you can stay home with your kids, more power to you - as long as you're raising and educating them well, such as teaching them manners

If thats what they want to do YES!!!

If they are sitting at home MISERABLE and yearning to go back to work but don't because their spouse says no then I pity them a little.
