I know a lot of people have seen Dreamgirls and marveled at what appears to be the comeback of eddie murphy. What i want to know is will this make him a shoe in at the oscars for supporting actor because he is already a contender and should he do films of a more serious matter to gain credibility the same way Tom Hanks, Val Kilmer and others that started off in comedy films did?

Eddie should get an oscar he sung and played his part as "James "Thunder" Early"!!! I did not want the movie to end the whole cast did a terrific job each of them should be recognized in a special way!!!!!

Although I haven't seen the movie yet I feel that Eddie Murphy is one of the most overlooked talents as far as awards go. He's a remarkable actor and a very funny man...I would love to see him get the recognition he deserves.
