I live in CA. One of my roomates have moved out and we can afford therent anymore. Wealso have many problems with other tenants threatening us and the manager doesn't care. What are our options?

See if the landlord is willing to break the lease.

If not, you can be held liable for the balance of the rent due on the lease until it is re-let. In many areas the courts might limit your liability to 2 months rent but don't depend upon that.

You say you are being threatened. How so? Threatened that they'll go to management because you're making too much noise, or threats of violence?

Report any illegal activity to the police. Keep copies of the police reports. It might be useable as a basis for breaking the lease for the landlord's failure to provide a safe environment.
