97 Audi cd changer?

I own a 97 Audi A4 Quattro 2.8 I was looking in the trunk and I found a cable for a cd changer and I looked in the radio manual and it says that my car can have a cd changer but does it have to be original from Audi or can i buy like aftermarket JVC, Sony, Panasonic etc..

You can put an aftermarket one in, but just make sure its a good one!

You can install another CD changer, just make sure it is compatible with the Audi radio so you do not neet to install (ugly) external commands and screen for the CD changer.
