Click on Start, then Run. Type in DXDIAG. Voila - Information at your service. the display tab will list your video card information. The sound tabs will show your sound card. you can also perform testing of each with this.

Right click My Computer
Go to Properties and then Click
Click Hardware tab
Click Device Manager
Click + next to Sound, video, game controllers.

Right Click on My Computer, click properties, then the hardware tab, then click Device Manager. You will find your Display adapter and Audio devices in there, you just have to double click either one and you will be shown the model name.

- Select "Run..."
- Type in "dxdiag"
- Click "OK"
wait a few seconds
The 'display' and 'sound' tabs will provide you the information you seek under device names.

Open your computer, take the card out, google the part number. If there is no sound card, you have onboard sound. Google your motherboard's part number.

Go to system Information and look under Hardware. It will tell you everything in your computer, drives and all. Same if you want to know what versions of software you have, look under software.
