Geniophobia - the fear of chins.

What? How can someone be AFRAID of chins? Are you afraid they will hurt them, or what?

I meant "are they afraid they will hurt them?". And no, its not an irrational fear. Things like fear of heights, spiders or dying are not irrational. Your saying fear is irrational if you say phobias are only irrational.

No, just being afraid of chins. Not more than one, or getting them.

I found a site on it. It almost seems like a joke when your reading it...but it is serious. So apparently this is a real phobia for some people. Hope this helps.

A phobia is a phobia because it isn't rational. Part of the definition.

Edit: "Fear" is not nessecarily irrational. A "phobia" is an extreme fear, irrational either in it's severity or its object.

hahaha - I've never heard of a fear of chins - that's awesome! I just found a new phobia...for years I had relied on Triskadekaphobia...fear of the number 13. Geniophobics sound way more edgy!

Now when I look in the mirror and scream I can say it's because of my chin...instead of my cellulite!

If you think that is weird then you've never heard of arachiputriphobia which is the fear or peanut butter, not cause they are allergic but cause they are afraid of it sticking to the roof of their mouth.

Geniophobics is not in my dictionary and I am not going to the library for you.
But if I had to I would also look up the phobia of people asking stupid questions.
