my sons lizard had 2 babies recently, my question is how soon before we can seperate them from the momma, they are already eating crickets on their own.

You should separate them now. I would be concerned about the mother eating or fighting with the babies if they are kept with her too long.
Once the baby is born, mom's job is over. No need to keep them together.

You should seperate them soon but not yet they need to be around the mother for a while before they go out on there own. But dont wait too long or they will fight.
