my computer is broken and i just got a new ipod. So, im using my friends computer. she already has itunes and stuff. as soon as i plugged the USB plug into the port it started updating and downloading songs, was it supposed to do that? how does this work? how long should it take to charge an ipod?

yes it is supposed to automatically sync all of the songs on itunes onto your ipod. when itunes senses a device (ipod), it automatically syncs and opens itunes. you can change the settings to not open itunes...then you will have to manually open itunes to sync.
the ipod should take about 30 minutes or so to charge fully when only some of the battery has been used. for a complete recharge, about 4 hours i think.

you only haveto transfer the songsfrom itunes to your ipod and if its the first charge leave it like for 5 hours charging
