Leaving on good terms or bad terms? Good Terms you could write them something they would always have. Bad nothing really has to be said. Just disappear from the picture.

It depends on where you are going i guess. If you're just going on a trip or something just say goodbye. But if you (or your friend) are going away for good, like moving or something, make you sure you make it special. Like have a going away party or something.
