that a persons question is automatically removed or does someone actually read it and decide to remove it and if someone reported u and yahoo alerts u and u write to cus. ser. to plead ur case , has anyone ever gotten their points back or is it just an effort in futility to make a plea.

i seriously doubt that they have a full time 24 hour staff to read and censure the questions. What probably happens is once you get reported a computer program scans it for predefined words to ensure that the question is within the guidelines. if the program doesn't like it it will probably just delete your question and that will be that.

It might not happen immediately, but they don't read it, it gets chucked. Only if you plead your case with them will someone actually take a look at it. So, if you get a wrongful violation you need to take it up with them or no will know or care...

I believe that it means that someone reported you to yahoo answers to plead a case and then they make a decision.

I have pleaded but get reminded to read the guidlines...I never thought I di anything wrong..not campared to some of the stuff you read on here!!!!
I think they do not review the stuff...if your question or answer gets booted that is it, it happens to everyone , don't worry bout it..

I think they read it and review it....because the times I've gotten violation reports, it takes all day to hear something and my question is usually a day or two old by then.

its automatic--most people falsely report you because they can't stand criticism or a real answer--they use the ploy that you offended them--when in fact what you probably did was challenge their point of view--don't worry if you get reported--after all if they choose to remain insular--their problem

Why be a snitch? People are just being stupid. If you whine about it they will know they "got to" someone. If it's rude etc... just ignore them.
