I am so excited. I am a HUGE Alabama fan. He did so great with LSU. Okay, so he wasn't a good match with the professional side. he knows how to get it done with college. I think he will do great there and Alabama will get back up on their feet.

It's gonna be interesting, seems like Saban has a bit of a history of pissing people off when he leaves teams to go coach somewhere else, by saying that he's not taking the job and then taking it anyways. I think that he could have at least been honest with the fans of the Dolphins by saying that he was interested in taking the job.

Nicktator Saban is probably back in his league, aside from waffling about the job, if bama will give him the whip and lock away the good old boys for a couple seasons, we might just pull it off!!

ROLL TIDE

To Bryan M. above, I think he had to keep shutmouth until after the Dolphin game on 12/31.

Id rather have seen Bobby bowden of the Clemson Tigers fired after that pittiful loss to kentucky and saben come here..but congrads and maybe Mora, the former atlanta coach will come bail the dolphins out

He is probably better suited for college football than the pro's.
I don't know what he was complaining about, he had free reign in Miami. He said it takes years to turn a team around but that's BS. Look what Sean Payton did with the Saints.
I hope he gets fired after a year because to me he showed his true colors, he has no loyalty and he lies. Good riddance !!

As a West Virginia Mountaineer I would say to Coach Saban? Welcome to GAMEDAY! College Ball is much more REWARDING than Pro-Ball!

Congrats to the "Crimson Tide" and GOOD LUCK IN 2007!

as a resident of Alabama i think this is a waste of the universities money.they could have gotten a winner like petrino for half price. since gene stallings left bama has been a wreck and it will take saban a couple of years to turn it around.with Tommy tubervilles powerhouse program across the state he will never be as successful as he was at lsu

I am not looking forward to it....I am an Auburn Alumni and hated playing him when he was at LSU...

He always does well at recruiting, and now that he is going to Alabama, our in-state recruiting will get harder than it has been for the last 5 years...

Hopefully we can win 6 years in a row before we start seeing the effects of his recruits. I so enjoyed this year 5 in a row baby, and War Eagle!

Weird dude but a great coach. I don't like him but I hope for the Bama fans that he turns it around. They're some of the best fans I've ever met.
