What colors go best together(clothes)and which don't?

It does depend on your skin color. I would say my skin is Ivory and I have golden blonde hair, I look horrible in yellow because it washes me out even more.

On seventeen.com they have quizzes you can take where you match your complexion closest ot the examples they give you and they'll give you colors you should try. Keep it in mind so when you're at the mall, or a specific store trying on clothes pick a shirt in a different color, and try it to see if it looks good.

Because my eyes are blue, I tend to buy a lot of clothes that are blue,green, and white (I swear it's most of my closet) The quiz confirmed it, and also suggested that I try red, coral and gray peices of clothing. I also have a collection of gray tops, and a few red/super dark pink ones.

However generally you don't wear a navy blue top with dark blue jeans, at least I don't. I wear lighter wash jeans with navy tops.

Is this confusing you more, or are you getting it?

It basically all depends on your style. Some people can get away with loud bright colors, while others don't. You could contrast and wear like a green shirt with a deep violet jacket. Or go earth tones.. wearing greens and browns. You could basically put a lot of colors together and they'll still look good..

I say keep it natural and don't match your eyeshadow to your clothes. I hate when people do that....so ghetto. Now, when I wear black I do a sexy red lip and keep the rest of my makeup neutral OR I do color on the eyes...I usually go with greens or purples which look fabulous on dark brown skin.

jeans goes with any kind of top
baby pink and black goes well but don't wear black alone cuz people might think your gothic
polka dots are in but once your not looking like an old lady
tops with a lot of sequents are also gorgeous

i always use a basic color somewhere in my outfit, such as blue jeans, black, white, and tan. These colors almost always can be paired up with any other color.
