I need to get an appartment for me and my boys. I have a bad credit history that I am currently trying to rebuild I am paying my credit cards off as much as I can a month now. I have a good paying job though. Will I be able to get a place on my own with my boys? Dose anyone know how that works? I have never rented a place befor. I owned a home. My ex has that now. So I have to rent for now.

Absolutely!!! I have gotten an apt (a very nice one at that), with very bad credit (after a divorce). I had to pay 3 months rent as security, but it helped rebuild my credit and I had a place to live for my kids and me. Good luck to you hun....I have been there, and it sucks!
