As an army officer I would say most assuredly yes. The civilians of any side are the reasons that we fight. There is something to be said for the soldier who wears his country's colors and fights under that name. Professional soldiers are proffesionals who find the idea of hurting civilians the most morally vile idea out there.

even in a video game i dislike civilian deaths. you lose points and they may turn against you.
