Didnt cry...its a guy thing but without a doubt it was a moving ceremony. Stevie Y. deserves all the accolades and more that he received last evening and once again he showed his humility by deflecting from his own accomplishments to praise eveybody else. Honestly we all expected as much, hard to find a player with more class in any sport. He will forever be an icon in Detroit and I for one will be forever grateful to have gotten an opportunity to enjoy one of the greatest hockey players and gentlemen of our time.

Boy did I! It was one of the most awesome jersey retirement ceremonies I have ever watched. He was a great captain.

im no redwings fan so i didnt cry but it is sad to see the guy go he was 1 of the best captains in the nhl if not the best

I was a little bit misty-eyed. Admittedly though, I was amused at how nervous he was during his speech. Not amused like laughing at him, but more of an "I can only imagine" type of thing.
