Every time I have a dream about being with my boyfriend, it's my ex (that I broke up with 3 years ago and don't want back) not my current boyfriend of 3years! So even if I'm having a dream about a situation in my current relationship, my ex is the one in the dream, not my current boyfriend. Whats up with this?

dreams are just dreams. some are true while others are not. pay close attention to your surroundings in your dreams and if you are ever in that real life situation-be careful, if might just be true.

To dream of your Ex Boyfriend
To dream that your ex-boyfriend is giving you advice about your current relationship, suggests that you unconscious is telling you not to repeat the same mistakes that you had made with this ex-boyfriend.

To dream that you are being massaged by your ex-boyfriend, suggests that you need to let go of some of that defensiveness that you have been putting forth. You may have been putting up a wall or armor around you. You need to learn to trust people again.

Maybe it shows your fear that your current relationship will turn out like your last. This does not mean that it will. Is you current boyfriend acting anything like you ex?
Dreams often help us work through problems we are facing in our lives, and maybe this is one way your brain is trying to work throug ha problem in you relationship or regrets you had about your former one.
But, sometimes dreams are just dreams.

You can't help associating your relationship experiences. These kind of dreams are even more typical in bad breakups. Maybe there is some feeling you have that you haven't had since that last relationship, or maybe it's the kind or type of experiences, but there's some thread that binds them, and your mind is associating experiences. Nothing unusual about it other than you remember them after waking.

Dreams are nothing more than reflections of stuff that's floating around in your subconscious. You obviously still have issues with your ex that you haven't resolved. Either that or he represents something to you.

Our subconscious is like a memory card of everything we have ever experienced and been exposed to. Sometimes it likes to regurgitate little specks of our past, that then become available to our conscious thoughts!
