That is what I say when I'm in NYC. There are thousands of jobs in downtown NYC. They should get cleaned up and buy a nice outfit and try to get somewhere in life. It's sad to see that but at the same time it's not. People who end up like that are usually druggies and end up there all on their own when it could have been prevented.

Some of them do try.....but when filling out an application, what address will they put down?
When going on an job interview....what nice clean suit will they wear?
Everyone that is a beggar is not an alcoholic or junkie.....Some of them really want a better life and just had a bad situation that put them in that position
