It's really old and I have no idea where to look- I've tried everywhere!!

The name of the song is "She Wore My Ring" and some of the lyrics include "she wore my ring on her little hand...driving in a '65 or '57 Ford". My mom is actually looking to get these lyrics for my grandma as a birthday present.

Anyone who can find these lyrics and the artists name gets 10 points!!

I mean this song is REALLY old- like back in the 50's maybe.

The only name I have to go by is Frank- my mom cannot remember the last name and the artist's name is in the song apparently.

Please help me so I can stop my mom from hounding me!!!

I did too. No luck. I found "She Wears my ring" recorded by Solomon King and others but the lyrics don't match up. And then there's this:
" 1965 "

(Nineteen Sixty-Five)

She had a front seat made for starry nights

And a back seat just for two

My old Ford, deep turquoise, never found how fast she'd do

Filled her up on Friday nights, and I'd just drive and drive and drive

Seems everything I loved was blue in 1965

I'd watch the clouds as they drifted by, high up over me

And dream of places I would go when that small town set me free

I'd trace the lines the jet planes would fly 'cross that Carolina sky

Seems everything I loved was blue in 1965

Blue as a farmer's shirt waving from a washing line

Blue as a whiporwill singing to the morning light

But it's all right, . . .

That little girl in the navy skirt; I think about her yet

She was sweet perfume, and bubble gum, and a smile I can't forget

She wore my ring on a golden chain and I just fell into her eyes

Seems everything I loved was blue in 1965

I took her home one stormy night

And she hardly made a sound

Then with her eyes she said goodbye

And she set that class ring down

Outside my car I could see the rain

And the raindrops matched her eyes

Seems everything I loved turned blue in 1965

Blue as an old love song that didn't work out right

Blue as a distant flame that fades into the night

But it's all right, . . .

How sure are you of the words? I found a song that might be close...has "She wore my ring" and 1965 in the song...but not the other words.

Here is a poenm also that is close:

Candy Bar by Allan James Saywell

She wore my ring
On her tiny finger
She wore my ring
For all the world to see
We were to love
For all eternity
Life is so uncertain
Life can be brief
In it's entirety
Love is like a candy bar
Dont leave it in the sun
Devour it till it's gone
Remember the nectar
Sleep with the nectar
We move on

Looks like a poem, not a song.
