For food, don't miss going to a restaurant on Seawall Blvd called "Gaido's". Terrific place to have dinner.
Of course, there's also the beach to walk on and watch the gulf waters. Another place I enjoyed was the Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston...great collection of aircraft. Below is a link for Galveston that you migh want to go to. Have fun!

Moody Gardens, Imax, Fishermans Warf dinner, The Strand for Shopping

Check out The Strand for shopping and the aquarium at Moody Gardens. Most importantly, make sure you get some fresh seafood. My fave is a place called Fishtails. I've visited several ocean cities and I think galvestons seafood is better than just about any of them.

Gaido's for sure...if you can not afford that Casey's is right next door and owned by the same people.

A short drive away is Kemah. It is a boardwalk with tons of restaurants and shops.

The stand has tons of shops.
