It does affect you, if you have friends and family there (I do).
Anyway, yes, solely because it'll be like another Vietnam - but this time, if we let it devolve, we would've accomplished what we went in to destroy, which is a safe haven for terrorism. Iraq was a good beach head to Iran - and now there's no Iraq to speak of.
Now, I was never for the war because I knew the incompetent idiots running the show would botch it up (which they did). My only hope is that the new SecDef has a clue and cleans up some of the corruption and poor management that has plagued the campaign.

No way. They deserve to come home to their families and get back to their lives. If Bush wants to stay in Iraq so badly, he should move there and see what he's putting our troops through.

nope, i think the troops should stay here, if they're needed anywhere, they should be sent to New Orleans to help reconstruct the houses of those who lost them (Katrina), the money being spent over there should stay here in the U.S. to help our own people.

Yes, it's a total mess over there now. You can't just take out the government and then tell them to fend for themselves.
