Can anyone tell me the approximate price for this? I know it's only 30 minutes but we don't want to drive. There is also a group of people going. MexiCoach not an option.

You will pay between $30 - $100.

In theory, you can get this much cheaper, but the reality is that you are going in a group, none of whom probably speak fluent Spanish, and in desperate, unplanned situations, people get taken advantage of.

The large range depends on which taxi driver you go with. The distance is approximately 35 miles, but the roads are not superhighways.

To get the lowest price, appoint a negotiator for the group - and LET THEM WORK. The more people there are at once, the higher the price will go.

Ultimately, the irritable member of your group will complain "Let's just do it and stop negotiating," and you will have to deal with it.

Good luck my friend.

Rosarito is about 30 mins Ensenada around an hour, hour and a a half depending upon when you go. It'll likely cost you an arm and a leg and if you don't find the right cab in Mexico, even your life. I'd drive if I were you. It's a nice ride down the coast. If you're worried about insurance, right after you cross the border you can get it for about $15 for a weekend. That's a good deal. I think you'll be safe, I go down there all the time.

Best of luck to you, Mexico is a great place. Lots of fun and dirt cheap.

My friend is from Rosarito and we got a Taxi at the border to Rosarito for $2.00.....However....on the return I tried to get one on my own and they tried to charge me $35.00. My friend then told them that they were ripping me off and I ended up getting it for $1.00. It was a shared taxi however. Good Luck!
